Club Trips
Dear Members,
The date for the Lake Toolondo trip in July has changed due to other events occurring there on the original planned dates. Therefore, please note that the Lake Toolondo Trip is now going ahead from Friday 17th July to Sunday 19th July (one week later than originally scheduled).
Two other events – an additional trip to Eildon Pondage and the annual Max Kepert Club have also been added to the Club Calendar on the members only part of the website.
More trips will be added in time so please keep an eye on the trip board at the clubrooms as well as the Club Trips tab on the website.
Trip Changes
Members – Please note that the previously planned trip to the Lauriston Reservoir has now been changed to the Goulburn River. This trip is on Saturday 9th May, meeting at the Thornton River Bridge (Thornton Beach) at 9am.
A Steavenson River trip has also been added. This is on Saturday 30th May. Meet at the park opposite the Buxton Trout Farm at 9am.
Tony Hyett will be the trip coordinator for both events.
All members are welcome and this is a great opportunity to get some fishing in before the season closes.
These trips are a good opportunity for beginners. There will be mentors available to help you on your way with this great sport.
Southern Library
Members,
A new tab has been added to the members only part of the website. This provides a list of all DVDs and Books that are available from the Club’s library. Remember that all library items are loaned to members free of charge as part of your membership.
Please see Colin McMillan in the club rooms to grab your book/DVD and add to your knowledge and enjoyment of fly fishing.
Vale Muz Wilson
The members of Southern Fly Fishers were saddened to learn of the passing of the legendary Muz Wilson.
Muz’s involvement and contribution to the sport of fly fishing will be missed by all. However his legacy will be his great fly tying pattens that all of us fish around the world.
We extend our sincere condolences to family.
